I think if people focus on this, things would already improve. It’s just that they’re not looking at it as much—maybe there are more important things at the moment?
Maybe this is the way? 
On the other hand, I've been excited to learn about the developments in WebAssembly. The browser is a mini operating system, of sorts, in its own right.
Another meshnet project maybe? Web 3.0 keeps me hopeful
