Imagine looking for hours at a thing an inch away from your face. That can’t be good for your eyes πŸ‘€ nostr:note1juc86ycq00d5t2squ4fcvmcdaatyr36gk9up2tljc9pvdmwvlzkq8trkyf

Exactly πŸ€£πŸ’―

hmm, what if your eyes don't differ reality from spatial computing

What does it matter what your brain thinks if your eyes are focusing on a nearby object ?

hmm, does a nearby object tire ones eyes that much? never knew

Yes. Eye strain. And repeated probably results in migraines and worse.

we stare at phones 10+ hours a day on a regular, gonna be that on roids

A phone is probably at least 6 inches from your face. VR headset is like right on your eyeballs

hmm, i remember it being my biggest worry 10 years ago when i had an entrepreneurship class and i picked VR as the topic

curious to see what researchers have to say about this

will we become accustomed to a point or is that out of the question?

Research says eye strain πŸ˜‚

Probably more about not changing your focus distance. The recommended practice is for every 20 minutes you spend looking at something close up spend 20 seconds looking at something 20 feet away

Not to mention that you look retarded as fuck wearing it

that shouldn't matter at home, should it?

I mean if you live alone maybe not. But you might as well be alone if you got this thing on your face

Maybe the kids will be into it. Not the adults

If you do the optical design right, you can make the lenses so the eye can focus at a greater distance. However I don't think they had the space for those optics in this design. Google Glass was actually way ahead in this regard.

a good profession to specialize in, ophthalmologist.
