An answer to this might be better long form but multis are a scam. Tons of synthesized vitamins that are very different from the naturally occurring forms and potentially dangerous since many need to be converted to active form by the liver. Just start with looking at folate vs folic acid or heme vs non heme iron.

I’ve briefly looked at the folate thing, but sounds like a gotta go deeper.

Yeah it’s deep. Weston price basically discovered that vitamin K 1 (from plants) is much different than Vitamin K2 (which he called vitamin X) found in animal products and linked a lack of this vitamin to most dental issues.

Definitely have been down the Westin Price, Ancel Keys, big grain rabbit hole. We’ve also had so many of our nutrients ripped out of our soil, and I know it’s difficult to get everything we need naturally. I just haven’t explored what getting them non-naturally might look like, or if we should be doing it at all.
