The Orville was everything that star trek post voyager should have been. It's more star trek than modern star trek

You can tell it starts off as a spoof, but as it progresses some of the classic moral problems that old star trek tackled get done or redone pretty well. Not every episode is a winner though.
The moral problems were core to classic trek.
