cooking lobster alive should be illegal.
Eating bottom feeders and ocean bugs is disgusting, so I’m not surprised lobster “culture” is like this tbh.
I really hate when people are cruel to animals. Doing it so they taste better isn't an excuse.
Is that even the excuse?
Yeah, that's how people defend veal and whatnot.
Veal is a different story tho.
Veal is still cruel. Apparently the reason is basically that just it's easier than killing them humanely right before you cook them, and their meat goes bad quick.
Demonic.

Of course veal production is cruel, I’m just saying the rationale is totally different. I think there are ways of killing or stunning lobsters before boiling them that make it less cruel but it’s still gross either way. Lobster is a psyop.
It's easy to just kill it right before you cook it, it's not like the 10 seconds before it hits the boiling water are going to mean anything.
But yeah I don't think I'm ever gonna eat shellfish or clams again.
Maybe, I think there ways to do it properly. Why not clams though?
Cus apparently they boil them alive too. I know they're not particularly sentient but I just hate the idea.
