Pro sports such as football are the biggest roadblock to broader Bitcoin adoption.

Think about it: These industries are built on a foundation of fiat money, sponsorships, and centralized control. They thrive off of the status quo, keeping the masses dependent on traditional financial systems. Big brands push endless amounts of fiat into the system, while Bitcoin’s decentralized, borderless nature directly challenges this model.

The more people idolize these systems, the less likely they are to question the current financial order and embrace alternatives like Bitcoin. Instead of pushing for financial freedom, sports are often used as a tool to distract, entertain, and reinforce the mainstream economic structures.

Until this changes, wider Bitcoin adoption will face resistance, especially from those who see the system as a game they’re winning.
