Why is internaltional student program slavery?
Discussion
Allowed to come here without being able to pay for schooling. Forced to work slave labour jobs for minimum wage in Canada that cannot pay for them to live here or pay for school. Multiple international students pumped into houses with 16 people living in them. We have whole cities looking this way. Schools do it because they receive huge sums of money for allowing them in. They do it for the money, not to help an international student. All these international studens here need to pay for housing and school somehow so they take all the lowest wage jobs, keeping minimum wage low. They are essentially forced to work our countries worst jobs or be deported. Its a government tactic to keep wages low and act like they are woke by allowing these international students in. The students here are not happy with what is going on. They were promised a good safe life and are living on scraps as slaves. Its terrible. I feel for them.
Hmm...
So they are not required to show proof of ability to pay for schools before they were admitted by the schools?
Correct.
Wow what?! That doesn't make any sense...
WELCOME TO CANADA!
Wow
It's bad. Worse than I thought.
Anyone that has tried to call out these thing in the past has been called a racist. Only now is the majority of the Canadian population admitting these issues we are having. It gets even worse. Most of our housing problems, come from the government allowing millions of immigramts come here over the past couple years. Self censorship isnt a concept from China. We self censor in Canada for years now.
Man...
I have heard that Canadians have become complacent but really only because what happened the last 3 years.
Do you think it's related to the nice nature of the ppl there?
Yup. Our culture is very apologetic and afraid to confront issues. We try so hard not to be like the US. Due to us not being very confrontational, our government and businesses take advantage of us.
Canadians are apathetic and trusting to a fault. Their identities are founded upon a past that no longer exists. They look at the world outside, shrug and say, "Well, I guees it could be worst." Rather than using what they have at their disposal to make life better for themselves and the rest of the world.
Some Canadians.
Do you think it's most or even majority, for it to get where it's at now?
Based on our elections, it would be a majority of Canadians.
I dont think elections represent this very well.
How so?
What youre saying about Canadians cannot be determined by how we vote. We vote between two parties basically. It means nothing regarding who we are as a peeple or culture. Those are just two options we vote between.
I think you may have misunderstood me. I believe you can get a general idea of the culture of a country by looking at the policies and politicians that the majority of constituents vote for. If you took the policies of the Canadian government and transposed those on another, such as the US, many of them would be rejected outright by the majority of voters. This, one could argue, is a result of the differing cultures between each nation. I didn’t mean to suggest that you could determine everything about a country just by looking at their political parties.
“Peace, prosperity and good government.” Isn’t that the old Canadian saying? That represents a culture. I was agreeing with what you were saying in an earlier note.
Some, or most?
Some hotels in Niagara Falls have been converted to apartments because of how bad housing is here. I'm sure our revenue won't drop from the decrease in tourism, though.
Why wouldn't it drop?
I have personally seen it with my own eyes. They wander around loitering. 100% tourism has dropped. Me and my family as an example. We go less now. Thanks federal government for putting refugees from roxham road at our main tourist attraction!
I want to see Niagara falls tho. Almost went this year. Plan to go next year.
Still go. Its not ruined. Its just a lot of the businesses there have people loitering around them now. The falls is still breathtakingly beautiful. A nice trip for sure.
Stay on the US side. They have a park.
US side is depressing. All I hear about the US side is how fun the Canadian side is. We can also see both sides of the falls with amazing view. Parks are a plenty here.
