If you're asking for or taking up a farmer's time in August, it damn well better be worth it. We just had leftover pie for breakfast *two days in a row* because no one has time to eat, sleep or shit this time of year. Been working 18 hour days, in bed a midnight, up again at 5am. I say this with no shame, we work harder than ANYONE out there for 9-10 months straight. NO DAYS OFF. No matter the weather, how you're feeling, or what the hell else is happening in our lives or out in the world.

But yeah, your dog vomited on the carpet so you cancelled the really important meeting that was scheduled weeks ago and we squeezed in between a 6-hour harvest and getting 10 beds planted in the rain.

If farmers fucked off for even 1/4 of the petty excuses office people give us for not doing their jobs, the whole world would starve pretty damn quick.
