Nostr will win NOT because we kindly ask a lot of people to "please come over here it's so much better". If this was the best argument I would leave nostr. Hoping that normies someday will be listening is not a good strategy at all.

I believe winning lies in better incentives FOR PEOPLE WITH SKIN IN THE GAME.

It is strictly better to have an ecosystem of apps unleashing features previously impossible and eliminating middle-men.

I focus on building stuff for people that can realize the value of freedom.

Others will be laggards at least, captured slaves at most.

I wonder what assumptions others are operating under.

Very true. I expect more exodus waves from big media platforms, but it's not this that will make Nostr win. It's the superior experience. So thank you and all the others for building on Nostr!

Also, it's not a problem if growth is slow (but steady). Just as with bitcoin, gradually then suddenly.

nostr:nevent1qqsfd7zukxwfmavdp6fwdh5ksrfqj9unq8thrdt869vv0pks5048mpgppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qgsdqnk0xw3s8fvc2t7mdq0d3dqjyqd6shvdyxv6a3eukcngr4324yqrqsqqqqqpj3kgw5

It's very simple.

Everything that can be censored, will be censored - and become a slave mine basically. Even if, say Elon Must means it when he says he supports freedom of speech, it's essentially impossible for him to follow through on it - even without a gun to his head, which will happen sooner or later.

So anyone who doesn't want to live in a slave mine will be forced to use the alternatives that cannot be censored - that is, nostr and bitcoin.

It is completely inevitable.

Keep building 💪

Didn't ask. Feel free to leave

It all comes down to UX or need. Those with need will willingly deal with the bugs and quirks, providing the feedback loop to make truly better products to draw the normies down the line. Trying to onboard the masses now leads us down a path to Bluesky-ification with a captured user and development culture.

This.
