It's an old #Bitmain S9. It's wildly inefficient.
It produces about 9T/h at 700
Watts.
I pay about 10 times more for electricity, than I get in #Bitcoin. But I figure like this; I believe the sats I mine will go up 15 times in the coming 5 years. So they are still cheap! 🤣
Main reason tho: contribute to the network.

It really is, yea! I have it running in my attic.
And it keeps the attic on a steady 22°C by itself. It's about 35 square meters.
But the noise, tho 😬😬. I'm figuring out a way to get the heat down stairs, but keep the noise upstairs 😂

Try to get some of those quiet noctua fans. It's hell of a difference in noise. Trust me. #bitcoin
Noted... I ordered 2 more S9's. I got bit.
Now I need ways to get noise down.
Use the generated heat for things.
I started about a half year ago with a S19 95Th. As it only runs when I have solar energy left, it runs with profit.
Anyhow, if I had bought BTC for these 1,5k they would now be worth more than 3k. I agree, hobbies cost money😂
