I fully tore my Achilles falling off the edge of a gnarly mountain bike trail a year and a half ago. You're gonna wanna disrespect seed oils, grab one of these, and consider moving to El Salvador for your recovery.

Thank you how was your recovery? Full back on the mountain bike with no fears again?

Yep! I was able to start biking 6 months after surgery and the first few months were tough, but around month 4 fully regained confidence.

I'm about 17 months post surgery and still feels a little bit off at times, but nothing it prevents me from doing e.g. went on a 6 hour mountain bike ride last fall without any issues. Idk if I would run into issues doing long distance backpacking.

Good to hear your back to being active and can barely tell the difference. I'm itching to get to the rehab phase. I am going a little crazy. I'm 4 days past surgery. Pain is gone just sucks not being able to do much. I been reading about post surgery and it seems the earlier you start moving it the better. So hoping all looks good after my appointment and I can start doing little stufff and icing it after.

Definitely, the waiting around part and not being able to do anything active is the worst, and healing time can only be accelerated so much.
