IMHO the right balance of coffee to milk is 1:1. Café noisette or at least Espresso macchiato.

I too like a little bit of covfefe with my cream.
Mine is 1:0
I prefer pure perfect espresso, but when i add milk i can go anywhere from cortado to latte macchiato and enjoy it. Requires good milk and proper frothing though. 🧐
Milk should only be added when the coffee is of terrible quality.
