True scarcity

People who think they’ve missed the boat on bitcoin don’t understand true scarcity.

We’re in the glory days of bitcoin.

Here are my predictions of what bitcoin will be divided into as more and more people start adopting it.

We’re at the SAT LEVEL.

Next will be HALF SATS, a tribute to HALFinney.

As more and more people showed up, they had to change the units of measurement.

It doesn’t really make sense to say that you own .0000001 of a township anymore.

You don't think we will just start referencing millisats?

a lot of interfaces already recognize it, just not displayed on regular transactions. Phoenix for example has it.

came here to say the same. it is more likely that we'll be using milli, centi and the like as opposed to half and quarter. it's a imperial vs metric mindset.

future units aren't likely to be in imperial since those measurements have root in physical space where as metric is more abstract.

house (ex. single family dwelling)

apartment unit (ex. a unit in a multi family dwelling)

room

bed

we're early still. the late comers will be glad to even have half a bed to sleep on.

Maybe I’m dumb but: How can we have a term lower than one satoshi when that’s the lowest denomination of Bitcoin? To my knowledge you can’t split a Bitcoin further than 0.00000001.
