I really need help understanding international politics, especially American involvement in the Middle East & Israel. I'm quite confused.

> Is it true that most of the wars the U.S. has fought in the Middle East were primarily in Israel's interest?

Is this true, partially true, or completely false?

> If true, why are Americans allowing it? Are they unaware of this, do they support it, or is there another reason?

>If not, how do people explain the "Clean Break" memo, AIPAC funding, and the seemingly unwavering support for Israel's current policies?

I genuinely want to understand this and mean no harm to anyone.

- Yes, true.

- AIPAC owns Congress, essentially a money laundering operation from US taxpayers to congressmen and Israel. The opinions of the American people on this are basically powerless ATM.

- There’s some perverse element of Christianity that wants Jewish control over Jerusalem because their control signals End Times and the return of Jesus. A death cult.

I also read that it's the only foreign lobby that doesn't have to register as such, funded by BlackRock, State Street, and Vanguard, giving it virtually unlimited money. They supposedly fund both parties, especially during primaries, to eliminate anyone critical of Israel.

Is this true? I've read this from multiple sources, but it seems too crazy to be true.

AIPAC isn’t registered as a foreign agent under FARA. That part is true. Whether or not they’re the only (foreign) lobby that hasn’t, I don’t know. FARA rules seem loose and could conflict with the 1st amendment.

https://www.aipac.org/ I'm sure has something to do with it. There are many conspiracys. But I believe it's a big game that a small banking group play. Tom Luongo has a good take on this.

Also just heard this today. Kinda goes along with the big game theory

And Israel, the uk, the current US, Davos group what ever are on the same team

I greatly admire Benjamin Owen. Unfortunately, he was one of the early victims of cancel culture. I wasn't aware that his podcast was on foundation. Thank you for sharing!

1. Is probably true. The justifications given to the American people for the middle east wars don't make any sense. Looking at them from the simple 'who benefits?' lens points to defending/helping expand Israeli territory as the most likely reason. There is plenty of circumstantial evidence to support this.

2. Most Americans are not aware. There is a huge cultural stigma around 'antisemitism' that basically means the few who notice can't talk about it out loud and are shunned if they do. The mainstream sources of information (legacy and social media) are 100% pro Israel.

3. Same as 2. The vast majority of the people simply don't know and dismiss anyone who points it out as a nazi/antisemite/etc. Americans get indoctrinated early in public schools through classes where we read books about the holocaust and are taught that it is the worst thing that ever happened.

Around a year ago, I read a book called The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy.

It was so shocking that I started doing research just to debunk those claims for myself. But the more I looked into it, the more bizarre it got.

Your note feels like a summary of the book—it even cites multiple examples of the systemic abuse of anti-Semitism stigma.

No matter what war, it's always about:

1. Energy (oil or other raw materials)

2. Dominance of the US dollars

And it's never about human rights, democracy or freedom!

i suggest the youtube channel Syriana Analysis for what is going on there. Don't expect to agree with everything though

Are you asking as an American or not as an American?

I'm not American, but it was actually one of my American friends who suggested I do more research on WWII and the Bolshevik Revolution.

He also recommended some WWII documentary titled Europa: The Last Battle. I haven't watched it yet, but I plan to.

Well it's never a bad idea to gain a historical perspective, but how far one chooses to go back can significantly shape your understanding.

Regarding Americas involvement in the middle east since WW2, I have come to the general view that America exercised its post war position of strength to build a global dollar empire. As its internal economy and productivity have slowly gone into decline America has increasingly relied on its dollar empire to extract the wealth of other nations to maintain its dominant position.

Therefore I would say American military activity has primarily been in the service of America, not Israel, although for sure, Israel has considerable influence in American politics.

Post Kennedy, I would probably subscribe to the view of America as a military industrial complex, especially with regard to its external world affairs. It seems to me that for large sections of the American people world affairs are largely divorced from their domestic concerns and are of little consequence. Hence why this is relatively minimal opposition to the current foreign wars. Now America can fight these foreign wars simply by supplying weapons to foreign armies I suspect will only exacerbate this problem.

This is all quite high level and overly simplistic but as soon as one attempts to focus on the specifics I find the complexity multiplies beyond comprehensive.

Therefore read and learn by all means but don’t do it as a means of figuring it all out.

The US fights for corporate interests, which are diverse and often align with conflicting sides. They only need a narrative which can convince enough sheeple to support.

The biggest challenge to Palestinians gaining sunstantive US government support, is that no corporate interests align with their side only populist interest.

I'll comment on how the American people allow it. We no longer can vote with the dollar. The government has the ability to print money to fund whatever wars they want without the people's tax money. So the people's interests don't matter if you can just step around them and still get the money to fund whatever you want.
