I spoke on Telegram with its creator and learned that he did this service as a passion and a gesture of generosity having he bought Bitcoin very early he was lucky enough to leave his fiat job and devote himself to this non-profit project.
It seems hard to believe but that is exactly what it is.

Actually the web app is more than enough. If you want to use an app you can connect your Coinos account inside the Alby Go app.
Sure. I think I am happy to use it. I was more thinking of giving it to someone who is totally new to nostr, ie they wouldn't have Alby, and it gets a bit confusing having to send them to so many places to do so many things. Not ideal when you just want someone to jump straight in. They can explore more complicated set ups later, or something.
When I set it up, it put an app like button on my phone. I guess it just links to their webapp, idk how these things work, but srsly cannot tell the difference.
