Happy Wednesday!

Just coming back from a major "everything" outage in my town which lasted almost 20h. No internet, no mobile connectivity, no phones and no emergency services until just now.

Reminded me why we need to decentralise EVERYTHING. Monopolised infrastructures don't work!

Yes. I’m interested to know as well. I know parts of Africa was experiencing rolling blackouts, from discussions on Twitter.

There has been no statement by the town hall or monopolist Movistar up to now. Most likely they'll blame it on the vultures again. Monopolist Endesa likes to blame then whenever we have power outages.

Truth is our power and telecommunication infrastructure in Andalusia is similar to Bangkok's 20 years ago. Both monopolists aren't very big in reinvesting into their networks or grids.
