Intolerance of free speech is a dangerous thing. Intolerance in the name of virtue is a dangerous thing. Political correctness is dangerous... Society has become much more intolerant, much more exclusive, much less open, much less pursuing the truth.

It's apparent to me some think there is a right not to be offended, when no such right exists. It's also in direct contradiction to any rights around freedom of expression.
You can say whatever you want but you need to be ready to pay the price for it.
This is a current state for every single place on Earth. The price for saying stuff is the main issue

If people tell me I should lower my voice on this or that topic and that "we don't talk about this or that here openly", then I SEE what needs to be said in a stong and powerful way by me right now.
