My wife said the same thing, but it benefits both of us, especially since me being on paternity leave means I just have 1 job (farm) instead of 2.
This way I can get the house back in order, get our docs for taxes ready (which is technically her job), get the farm work that needs to be done before I go back to work caught back up so that isn't even more of a shit show than it has to be.
For example, this will be our third time breeding pigs and I need to have 3 separate farrowing huts since pigging together didn't work. Also puppies need to be sold. Also barn needs to be organized. If these don't get done by the time I'm back to work then she'll end up with no help for 12 hours a day instead of just 8.
