Buy handmade quality products from local companies instead of cheap mass produced chinaware.

This will make You much happier in the long run and support people that You know.

exactly! one of my fav examples are handmade leather shoes. Initially they are more expensive but in the long run they are much more comfortable, durable and even cheaper.
