People who think for themselves don't get influenced by influencers.

I don't think it'll ever die. The hero worship just changes year to year, cycle to cycle. Some people learn from it and eventually grow out of it, most won't.
It’s just celebrity worship. Some do. Some don’t. But always will. It’s the ideas that do it for me and even then I’m happy when an idea is slain by another.
Besides.. none of these celebrity/heroes have ever split a log or planted a seed with me, so.. I remain indifferent to them.
this is exactly the attitude I would love to see more of.
I would love to be optimistic about that. But I think there will always be influencers of some sort. Thinking for oneself is not as common of a trait as you would hope it would be. At least in my experience.
