Attempting to look at local files feels like trying to load a webpage full of ads & trackers while having only 1bar of wifi on a dialup connection.

And why tf is the Pixel7pro experience so shit in comparison to the 8?

No issues here on the Pixel 8 Pro.

Guessing it's (A) a performance issue and (B) an older app.

I think nostr:npub1235tem4hfn34edqh8hxfja9amty73998f0eagnuu4zm423s9e8ksdg0ht5 mentioned recently they were going to refresh those basic, native apps like the camera, keyboard, file explorer, etc...
