I might open a Monero wallet for the hell of it but I'm really not sure what id do with it.

That is a dangerous thing to do. I have seen bitcoiners disappear from the blockchain forever. Some have even claimed to loose it all in mysterious BOAT ACCIDENTS. Careful!
