We have two dogs. We just lost our beloved cat Bootsie to cancer & age.
I have a strong desire today to adopt another dog. Both our dogs are from the shelter where my wife runs the volunteer program. There’s no shortage of awesome dogs needing a home.
Who’s ADOPTING with me? ADOPT A DOG month. Or a cat. Give them a nice loving Nostr home.

Is adopting a dog such a simple act though? Sure getting the dog is easy but it must take alot of time to care for it?
It’s not a simple act. No way. I would say if you’re not ready to have children, don’t have pets.
Lots of work. Can be expensive (our Boomer is the most expensive free dog I’ve ever owned).
But it’s 100000x worth it. For the animal & for the soul.
This can’t be emphasized enough. When I moved, people told me I should just adopt out my dogs and get new ones when I get to where I’m going. Thems fighting words.
They are family & friend. I could never abandon them.
I have a Boxer now and I low key want a black lab.
