I often wonder what is causing it on a macro level. Cyclical waves of energy use? Cyclical prices of energy? Miner confidence? Waves of net-new hash coming online? Moon phase? All the above?

Lag time between miners production and when they are plugged in. That’s why hash rate kept going up regardless of price
