I try to opt out of politics altogether, so no comment on the political thrust of your piece, but I completely agree with the social/technical point you make about power structures. I've shared this post with a not-yet-on-nostr IRL friend who is considerably left-ish

You might be right. But a more charitable reading would be that they’re prioritizing short-term wins (get message out to lots of people on normal social networks) over long-term principles and better world building (using sovereign tech, etc.).
Being charitable I have to assume that they’ve determined that this prioritization is more likely to get them to their goals.
…but one can always be _too_ charitable… lol
