web apps are useful tools but also operating systems that prohibit installing apps without permission should be discouraged

Why would I discourage an OS that prevents apps installing without permission?

I explicitly use an OS for my one server that cant even install or run apps. No viruses or spyware possible.

No, but it only runs docker containers and VMs. So if i want a program ill boot up a linux or windows vm kr run on my other windows pc
