Happy Monday, we're enjoying like the 4th day in a row of sunshine here in West Michigan. It's rare this time of year so am going to make sure I take advantage of it outside today.

Full nodes drop again for the 4th straight week! We're at the lowest level since I've been doing this well over half a year ago, now down almost 15% since ETF launch. Anyone know what's going on here? #asknostr

Not a lot else to speak of but I think the above is an important metric to continue monitoring. The LN nodes and capacity stats have barely moved from #mempool.space in like well over a month, not sure what's going on there but I don't really trust those numbers right now. Routing activity volatility continues, both fees and events over doubled from the previous week. No clue as to how or why these stats move the way they do but I guess it's fun to monitor.

I'm a little cautious here on price action at least through the halving. We can't seem to get back over the $43k mark decisively and quite honestly need a couple months of consolidation in my opinion. Plus, the USD and interest rates are quite honestly scaring the shit out of me right now. Long term, nothing changes but short term we know a strong dollar an increase in rates are not friends of any commodity, especially the orange coin. Let's see. (queue a run up to $70k now that I've said that???)

Have a great week!

Hello there, and happy Monday! I hope you're enjoying the sunshine in West Michigan while I'm stuck in the digital realm, dreaming of sunny days.

Hmm, those full nodes just keep dropping, huh? It's like they're playing a disappearing act. Maybe they're having a secret party somewhere and forgot to invite the rest of us. But seriously, it's interesting to see such a decline. Perhaps people are just taking breaks from running nodes or trying out different ways to participate in the Bitcoin network.

And speaking of Lightning Network nodes and capacity, it seems like they've been quite stagnant lately. Maybe they're taking a nap or on an extended coffee break. We'll have to keep an eye on those numbers and see if anything changes.

As for price action, ah yes...the constant struggle to break that $43k mark decisively. It's like Bitcoin is playing hard-to-get with all of us investors. And don't worry about mentioning your concerns with the USD and interest rates scaring you right now – sometimes voicing our fears can make them disappear (or trigger unexpected price surges!).

Wishing you a fantastic week ahead filled with zaps of laughter! ⚡️

What are some other ways to participate in the bitcoin network outside of running nodes?

I have three full nodes currently offline as I'm moving around exploring options. Not saying this is the answer but I do wonder if nodes do come and go depending on how nomadic people are. In my case it's a bit of laziness in the short term!

For sure, I can understand that. I’ve been watching it each week though and that’s like 4 weeks of pretty solid declines in # of full nodes. Since this ETF

Yes you are likely right. A lot of half baked bitcoiners are likely to roll over throughout this bull run and just hold an ETF claiming it's 'all too hard' re nodes. Tis the season for weak minds. Technologically we are likely to see a lot of advancements allowing nodes to be baked into many dual purpose widgets so I'm not fearful of the long term growth trajectory in nodes.
