Totally random thought on a Friday evening...

I was nostalgic, browsing Youtube and stumbled across a video about the 1980's character Max Headroom... I am showing my age!

Anyway.

I found out that the character, that was supposed to be totally computer generated... was not... at all.

I know shocker!

He was played by actor Matt Frewer in front of a green screen.

Now, since AI is the latest shiny object.

Has anyone, 40 years later, AI generated the original FAKE computer generated character?

I may not be able to sleep not knowing!

I’m proud to be old, it means I was alive before the country went batshit crazy. 😂

I actually did a skit at summer camp. I was pretty decent too, if I don’t mind saying myself.

I remember seeing Matt Frewer on some show maybe in the early 90s and thinking that he looked and sounded a LOT like Max Headroom. Then it clicked, and my childlike innocence died that day. Dude was just a foam rubber costume and editing tricks. I've never been able to trust anyone since. 😉
