Just realized I've been traveling for months on multiple domestic and international flights with a straight punch tool in my backpack.
I'm pretty sure TSA would frown on that...

Used to travel with a lighter all the time and they never cared about that either for some reason.
My wife somehow got through security with a full size box cutter. Didn’t realize it until she was home.
They don't bat an eye at Ideal electrician scissors, but $deity forbid you have a Victorinox pocket knife. The horror!
Evidently, airport xray machines cannot see Gerber pocket knives, in my experience.
I once had a screwdriver. It's frowned upon, but they let me go and just took my shower gel..
