Dad's are usually pretty good at reacting to incoming puke.
I suppose it’s an innate, dormant skill.
My wife tended to freak out & just wait for it to erupt.
I was more about trying to mitigate the damage.
I caught one on my head & down my back when he went to puke on a bunk bed.
The cap was very resourceful.
