There’s also the problem of customer education. While it’s an easy task to explain to a store owner they can dramatically reduce processing fees, receive funds instantly, and have no threat of charge backs, you still need people to opt to pay in Bitcoin.
Unfortunately so many merchants have started passing the fee to the customer and the customer has accepted the additional costs.
I’ve taken the initiative to have these stickers printed and give them to merchants accepting ₿itcoin payments as a way to try and start a conversation with the customer. Because at the moment, that is the disconnect and unless merchant is a bitcoiner to begin with, they don’t really have the incentive to initiate the discussion.
