Humans created the pitbull and its our responsibility to retire it by choosing not to breed them further.

I believe this about several other breeds like the pug, certain bull dogs, etc but pitbull lovers seem to be the most triggered.

In our local dog shelter, just about every dog was a pit bull, or pit mix.

they're pretty common these days, especially mixed. Staffies too. They have the same look. Genuine pitbulls are fighting dogs through and through.

Walking my pitbull is walking a loaded gun.
