The democracy in the EU. 27 countries folded on that when they handed control to an unelected Commission and their currency to a central bank to receive unbacked currency in return. National elections in ANY EU country only still exist to maintain the ILLUSION of democracy and sovereign nations.

None of that is real.

You nailed the heart of the problem! The entire institution known as the EU is where all the problems start, especially when one considers its origins and history. A totalitarian digital euro is the natural inevitable outcome of such an institution
