Thanks, so far I've not distinguished my "in" vs. "out" relays. It does seem like I only get engagement on posts that are broadcast. I suppose I just don't understand the difference between posting and broadcasting.

I need a course on nostr 😅

Generally, there's no reason to broadcast your own post again. Posting already broadcasts that event. Most relays will just ignore a duplicate event id.
