I like clients that don’t even show follower counts.
I do sneakily check the number reported by nostr:npub1sx9rnd03vs34lp39fvfv5krwlnxpl90f3dzuk8y3cuwutk2gdhdqjz6g8m on occasion.
I can’t shake those legacy social media metric habits 😂
I like them too but naming every issue "Feature" is a bit too much.
It is a feature because we run on relays and while you know who you’re following from your relay stats, you can’t tell who’s following you without examining every relay, which is impossible.
If you create an npub, never publish anything but follow some people you’re interested in, nobody will ever know.
This is a great privacy feature.

Many people (not me) want to see who follows them. You consider it irrelevant. Good, great feature. Nostr is full of such "features" and evangelists (I'm not referring to you) who enlighten us and tell us what's good for us.
Exactly. Because at the end of the day, the follower count doesn’t matter.
