Privacy shouldn't be optional, also I hate where it comes from.
zcash the technology is very impressive. zcash the currency is not good
If you were a darknet market admin, would yuo use my project if I have declared I will comply with authorites in the early days of the project?
if a good project was dissmised by the overall market that needs it; that means it was not a good project.
the deeper you go into this, the more you realise it's the community that makes a thing itself and not the tech.
The privacy tech is very cool.
The compliant culture, circumstances, and decisions made around the coin not so much... (mining tax, single pool controls ~70% of hashrate, headed to PoS, default transparency, no default network level privacy for nodes, centralized company, most devs doxxed, no p2p markets, etc)
