The Sun’s always sending energy our way, but Earth has this natural rhythm of taking it in and letting it go. It’s like a cosmic breath…inhale, exhale… keeping everything in balance. The yin and the yang.

Think about a tree: it soaks up sunlight, grows, and spreads its seeds. But it’s not just hoarding that energy. It gives it back too, through warmth, through life, even in decay. The energy moves in a cycle, always flowing. It’s like a lesson of give and take - always in balance with nature.

In a way, it’s a lot like life itself. Nothing’s ever really stuck in one place. Everything’s in this constant exchange, this endless dance between taking and giving. So yeah, Earth is always absorbing energy, but it’s also always finding ways to release it. To give it back. The breath… It’s all part of the universal flow, a natural balance that keeps the whole thing going, ebbing and flowing, like dust in the wind.

Another fact to perhaps incorporate into your analogy: a rotating body orbiting a star will slightly speed up its orbit or slightly slow down its orbit depending on which direction it rotates; why? Because when it releases heat from the star on its dark side, it gets a little push. That push will either be in the direction of orbit or exactly opposite the direction of orbit.
