Please forgive this broadcast into the void from someone who is utterly illiterate in the Apple side of the universe and wants to compile family vacation photos: my daughter's iPhone, when connected to my machine via a USB C to Lightning cable, is being recognized correctly (in PTP mode) per "gphoto2 --port usb: --abilities". But it doesn't show at all show up in Nautilus or gthumb.
Per this article, it should Just Workâ˘. Can someone point me to what I might be missing?
