Since when are tags case sensitive? Why not use a completely different letter?

they've always been case sensitive

they imply the same thing, so using lower/upper case helps convey the meaning

uppercase is root, lowercase is parent A/a E/e I/i P/p...

NIP-22 already has a requirement for a "p" tag. So this is just adding the root P tag?

It had a SHOULD for the p tag and Amethyst wasn’t setting one.

I think P tagging the root is also very useful so the OP can REQ all the conversations around all their content in one go
