Is all of lightening KYC compliant?

Surely there is a work around.

What happened to the permissionless ethic of the cyberpunks?

I suppose I would have to do a serious self-audit to achieve a true autonomous anonymous presence. Starting with my hardware.

I do enjoy my Pixel, but perhaps it's time to review my personal security ethic.

where to begin...

I apologize if I have misunderstood your note but I am going to attempt replying.

Lightning does not have any KYC built in. You can run your own node similarly as with Bitcoin Core.

The work around to the permission-less ethic of the cyberpunks, is lightning with KYC. KYC is the anomaly. KYC is the crime.

Have you tried https://blixtwallet.github.io/ ? non-custodial and very easy to use.

You have a Pixel too? I hope you are running GrapheneOS on it if you are not already, you should! Especially since you are reviewing your personal security ethic.

If you have a Pixel 6a or above, GrapheneOS is supported.

It sandboxes your apps including google play services if you decide to install them.

And you dont miss out on the google bells and whistles like magic eraser, etc.

Best mobile phone experience Ive had hands down!

Thank you, I will follow up on these suggestions.

To install grapheneOS on a pixel you literally have to just go to their website and click 3 buttons. It does all the heavy lifting for you with their browser based web installer:

https://grapheneos.org/install/web#web-install

Let me know if you have any questions!

People get pixels just to have Graphene and the best de-googled experience out there!

I came from LineageOS, and as good as that is, Graphene is superior and more "user friendly" for newbies to privacy upgrade lifestyle....

Just talk to your local peeps and leave the rest of the world behind friend. We won't give a fuck. You'll know we failed when a rainbow haired commie suicide bombs yer house.

Hats off to ya. Every time I start to do a security audit on myself (I'm no expert but more aware than most) I shake my head, realize I'm already fucked, and say a silent prayer none of the three-letters decide I'm important.

Custodial is becoming KYC, but you can use Minibits without

that's "cypherpunks" and it's not that hard to run your own lightning node

i would have thought with your display name you'd have heard of the hub, that doesn't require kyc, it's just a specialised VPS service, i run it now, and all my zaps go in and out through it, it's become my primary spending channel as it can load my xapo bank account in a matter of seconds, while keeping my sats away from dirty KYC banking until i precisely require it

Run a Bitcoin Node.

Then add a Lightning Node.

Boom. You're sovereign.

Want a lightning address?

Get a domain.

Add LNbits, with lnurlp extension and configure

Want to access from a mobile app like BlueWallet or Zeus?

In LNbits, add lndhub and configure

Want to have nostr wallet connect functionality?

In LNbits, add nostrclient and nwcprovider extensions and configure.
