Are you referring to me or OP? I am very well aware of what free software is and I was describing OP as "Another victim of the English language" for his confusion.

However, I also simply pointed out that, besides being free (as in "free speech") software, a lot of software actually is developed with no monetary interests, as well. It doesn't have to be, the "free" doesn't mean "gratis". But OP is wrong to imply software isn't developed without monetary interests, too.
