Bitcoiners have an incomplete understanding of game theory. While it is true that in single-turn games malicious agents fair better than cooperative agents, this is flipped on its head for multi-turn games. Cooperative actors outperform malicious ones handily. Bitcoins treat everything as a single-turn game. It's really not. The real world is multi-turn.

well... in iterated prisoners dilemma game, Always Uncooperative is the best strategy.

bro, this is a revisit on prior work. your link doesn't even include mention of the strategy I described..

do the math, if your opponent ever tried to cooperate while you're always attacking then you gain a lead in cumulative score.

So do humans. And the real world? There is no such thing. There is no game to win.

Find the happy medium. Be cooperative without being a doormat. Good for game theory simulations, also good general rules to live by

Is that how you handle it?

I’m as cooperative as a situation deserves.
