Both are good and have their place. I'd probably do a smash burger if I was going for like a more classic kind of burger flavor but I'd probably do a thick burger if I was to try to, I don't know, make something fancy or do like an interesting stack.

I think I prefer smash burgers a bit more but only a bit.
At least currently I've been on a huge Smash Burger kick, so I get it. I only recently had a thicker burger that kind of revived my faith in them. 😅
