Yes, but ...
I don't think merchant adoption depends on consumers wishing to spend it.
I think it depends on merchants wanting to hodl.
Currently, merchants see Bitcoin support as expensive as they need to work with somebody to convert the magic internet money into fiat
But once they realise that hodling is better, because Bitcoin is *the* digital asset, they'll realise that fiat support is bad for two reasons: credit card fees and fiat devaluation
Anyway, I'll listen to that now!
