Why is it that Elon Musk never says anything that is original and profound? When I've seen him on podcasts, or on Twitter, he doesn't really display particularly impressive intellectual depth. On the other hand, people like Michael Saylor, Peter Thiel and Naval Ravikant, like them or not, are clearly hyper-intelligent. I get that his job is to make high-level strategic and technical decisions. But based on the content of his interviews and X profile, I wouldn't guess in a million years that he is one of the most successful entrepreneurs in human history. Am I missing something? #asknostr

Could be one of two things imo. One, he is a complete construct, to give us a real life Tony Stark for the comic book generation of adults. Or, he is one of those people who are so hyper-intelligent that they truly do have trouble with a normal conversation.

I think its likely a combo of both. Definitely has a character constuct to him, but personally I do think he is intelligent as well. Also, he does seem to enjoy trolling the world, so that could be part of it too. Just playing a goof ball roll when he's bored. He's a peculiar one for sure. Dont trust him one bit, but I do enjoy all the freak outs over him. Felt the same about Trump when he was pres. Didnt like him, but the entertainment was golden

I used to defend billionaires because they are brilliant entrepreneurs. Which isn't necessarily untrue. But most of them get sucked into being a weapon of the state. The guy is an autist but he is intelligent when it comes to deception. I’ve heard from many people that he didn’t do much during the PayPal days. His Tesla company is only successful because of subsidies. He’s good at putting himself in the right positions which you can argue is intelligent but he hasn’t innovated anything. Just a parasite.
