🚨🚨My 18 yr old called me overjoyed bc she “got a really good job that will work with her class schedule”

I asked her a bunch of questions and this is what I uncovered:

The owner of a roofing company is asking my daughter to climb on roofs with the promise of $10,000 commission checks to her. She is scheduled to climb on a few roofs tomorrow to provide an “inspection” in the hopes of closing a sale. CLEARLY major red flags. 🚩

She has no experience, received just one day of "sales training” (zero safety) today, and was advised she’s “not an employee” (hired as a contractor—a term she doesn't even understand) on a 100% commission basis.

There’s no safety, OSHA compliance, licensing, or proper training (harness, helmet, shoes, or other safety equipment involved or provided for her to climb on these roofs.

She has no idea the insanity of what she’s being asked to do, and he’s putting her life at risk and in violation of the law.

She’s got that wild hair of independence in her and I’m trying to get through to her as to why this is dangerous / illegal / etc.. any comments / insight you have that I can relay to her and or report this asshole are greatly appreciated.
