I also tend to agree that we’re past voting ourselves out of these problems, but I still think it’s our duty to vote even if it’s to show up just to “throw away” your vote on Kanye 2024. Can’t give up and move on to civil disobedience without saying you at least tried to vote things better.

Just my 2 sats. I vote for bitcoin with ever paycheck now.

I go back and forth on agreeing with this.

One day I say the president barely matters and then holy shit Joe Biden comes in and makes it look like the most important position in the world. He might go down as one of the worst to do it imo.

The recent “this is dangerous for our democracy” chant has finally made me realize this ain’t no democracy. Democracy has just become another word that’s been stolen. It’s meaningless now. None of our representatives represent us anymore. I can count on 1 hand the reps that vote along their jurisdiction’s lines.

I think this country died the day the federal reserve bank was birthed because that’s the day politicians stopped having to work for their citizens.

Yeah I agree that our “democracy” is a farce. I’m actually serious that the smartest way to vote at least in the presidential election is to throw it away on a third part candidate.

It sends a clear message that you don’t want to have to pick between the cleanest of two turds.

You’re never going to vote your way into those nuclear weapons changing hands. Society needs to wake up to the fact that power rests at the top of the pyramid and everything else in this world is subservient to power.

The best way to vote is with your productivity (taking it to another jurisdiction), with your savings (divesting from American assets in favor of non-sovereign stores of wealth like gold silver and bitcoin), and reducing your consumption to just the necessities while simultaneously paying as little taxes as legally possible.

The ballot box doesn’t matter when at the end of the day your candidate either plays ball or gets assassinated.

We vote for bitcoin with every paycheck. And no I’m never converting back to fiat so they can shove a capital gains tax up their ass

When you spend bitcoin, your jurisdictions tax laws may view that as disposing if an asset and there may be a tax associated with that. Not believing in the merit of taxation doesn’t absolve you of obligation, and the state WILL use violence to ensure compliance. Tread carefully.

Yeah I’m generally pretty careful with taxes, but as a general rule the gubment can tax this dick.

Give ‘em an inch and they’ll take the whole shaft
