Recap: Day 03 - Proof of Work | Chapter 3 Part II – The History of Money
What an amazing learning experience we had yesterday as we officially concluded Chapter 3 of the Bitcoin Diploma Course for Cohort 3.
The session was led by our incredible Bitcoin Educator Jetty Nakamoto, who delivered deep and well-structured knowledge on crucial concepts that shape our understanding of money's evolution.
During this final session of Chapter 3, Jetty explained the transition from sound money to unsound money, diving into how monetary systems moved from gold and silver (sound money) to fiat currencies, and later transitioned into plastic (cards) and now digital currency. This clear breakdown helped students understand the risks, control, and centralization that came with these transitions—and why Bitcoin matters more than ever.
Jetty also gave powerful insights on how money lost its value over time, and how digital currencies (especially decentralized ones like Bitcoin) are reshaping financial systems worldwide. The class was very interactive, with students participating, asking questions, and expressing their appreciation.
We are extremely grateful to Brother Jetty Nakamoto for his dedication, passion, and outstanding delivery throughout Chapter 3 Part I & II. His clarity and energy have left a strong impact on our students. Asante sana, Jetty! You truly made this chapter a remarkable one!
