FAHAMU KWA HARAKA: DeFi NI NINI?

👉 Hakuna manager, hakuna karani, hakuna makaratasi,

Kupitia DeFi unaweza:

1.Kukopesha pesa (crypto)

2.Kukopa pesa

3.Kupata riba

4.Kufanya trading

5.Kuweka akiba

6.Kununua insurance

7.Kuweka bets (long & short)

Yote haya bila benki.

Kwa nini DeFi ni muhimu?👇

Bitcoin ilianza kama pesa ya kidigitali

DeFi ikaenda mbali zaidi:

👉 Ikajenga mfumo mzima wa kifedha mbadala wa Wall Street,

👉 Bila majengo makubwa,

👉 Bila mishahara ya mabenki,

👉 Bila vikwazo vya nani aruhusiwe au asiruhusiwe.

Mtu yeyote mwenye Simu, Internet,Wallet anaweza kushiriki DeFi

Hii ina maana kuwa:

- Fursa sawa kwa wote

- Hakuna kubaguliwa

- Hakuna kuulizwa “unafanya kazi gani?”

Faida za DeFi

_1. Iko wazi kwa wote_

Huhitaji kufungua akaunti benki. Unatengeneza wallet tu kama MetaMask then unaanza.

_2. Hakuna taarifa binafsi_

Hakuna jina

Hakuna email

Hakuna NIDA

Hakuna KYC

Wallet yako ndio utambulisho wako.

_3. Uhuru kamili_

Unaweza kutuma pesa muda wowote

Hakuna kuomba ruhusa

Hakuna kusubiri siku 3-5

Hakuna ada kubwa za kibenki

5. _iko chapu sana_

_6.Transparent_

Miamala yote iko wazi kwenye blockchain

Kila mtu anaweza kuona kilichofanyika

Hakuna kuficha hesabu kama kampuni binafsi

DeFi inafanyaje kazi?

Mfano

Unafungua DApp

Unaconnect wallet yako

Unaanza kutumia huduma

Hakuna fomu, Interview wala Approval ya mtu

Matumizi ya DeFi kwa sasa

1. Kukopesha

Unakopesha crypto yako,

Unapata riba kila dakika, sio mwisho wa mwezi.

2. Kukopa pesa

Unakopa papo hapo

Hakuna makaratasi

Kuna hadi flash loans (mikopo ya sekunde chache)

Benki za kawaida haziwezi hili.

3. Trading

Unanunua na kuuza crypto moja kwa moja

Hakuna broker

Hakuna middleman

Ni kama trading ya hisa bila broker.

4. Akiba

Unaweka crypto kwenye platforms za DeFi, Unapata riba nzuri kuliko benki nyingi.

5. Derivatives (Long & Short)

Unabet bei ipande (long)

1. Ada za mtandao (Gas fees)

Ethereum chain ikizidi kuwa busy, ada inapanda

Hivyo ku trade mara nyingi inaweza kuwa ghali

2. Volatility

Bei hubadilika haraka

Unaweza kupata faida au hasara kubwa

3. Kodi na sheria

Hakuna mtu anayekufanyia hesabu za kodi

Wewe mwenyewe unatakiwa kufuatilia

Sheria zinatofautiana nchi hadi nchi

Hitimisho

Habari Mpya kwenye Crypto Adoption - Marekani

_Nini kimetokea?_

Bado haijawasilishwa rasmi bungeni

Satoshi Sisters Circle Dinner at the Africa Bitcoin Conference 2025 in Mauritius 🇲🇺 was a truly empowering and heartwarming gathering that brought together incredible women from across the Bitcoin ecosystem in Africa and beyond. Held during the conference on December 3–4, the dinner created a safe, inspiring, and supportive space for women to connect, share experiences, and uplift one another in the male-dominated world of Bitcoin and tech.

The Satoshi Sisters Circle is a growing network of passionate women who are actively contributing to Bitcoin through education, development, advocacy, business, and community building. The dinner was more than just a meal — it was a celebration of resilience, leadership, and sisterhood. Women from different countries and backgrounds came together to discuss ideas, collaborate on future initiatives, and support each other’s efforts to expand Bitcoin adoption in their communities.

It was a night filled with laughter, storytelling, learning, and unity — a powerful reminder that Bitcoin is for everyone, and women are shaping its future in Africa. Events like these strengthen the movement, encourage inclusion, and make the Bitcoin space more welcoming and diverse.

The Africa Bitcoin Conference (ABC) 2025, held in Mauritius 🇲🇺 from December 3 to 4, is a landmark event dedicated to advancing Bitcoin education, adoption, and development across the African continent. It brings together a diverse group of Bitcoiners, developers, entrepreneurs, educators, activists, and policymakers from Africa and around the world to explore how Bitcoin can empower communities and solve real-world challenges in the region.

The main goal of the conference is to bridge the knowledge and innovation gap, promote financial inclusion , and support grassroots Bitcoin adoption by focusing on practical solutions tailored for African contexts. Through panel discussions, workshops, developer meetups, and keynote talks, the conference highlights how Bitcoin can be a tool for economic freedom, financial sovereignty, and technological innovation — especially in regions with unstable currencies, high remittance costs, or limited access to banking infrastructure.

It’s more than just a tech event — it’s a movement that champions open-source collaboration, youth empowerment, and freedom-focused finance. With growing interest in Bitcoin across countries like Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa and many more , the Africa Bitcoin Conference is shaping the future of Bitcoin in Africa, one conversation at a time.

“Make Bitcoin functional, not ideological, for Africa.” 🌍

- Femi Longe, Human Rights Foundation

Africa Bitcoin Conference | Mauritius 🇲🇺 | December 3, 2025

These powerful words remind us that for Bitcoin to truly make an impact across Africa, it must be practical, accessible, and solve real problems faced by everyday people — not just exist as an ideal or theory. Whether it’s enabling cross-border trade, offering financial freedom, or protecting savings from inflation, Bitcoin must work for the people, on the ground, in real life.

This call to action challenges builders, educators, and advocates to focus on real-world use cases — to build tools that empower rather than impress. It’s not about hype — it’s about helping communities thrive using technology that respects their freedom and choices.

As Africa continues to rise in the global Bitcoin movement, these words serve as a compass: function over ideology, impact over image.

Let’s build tools that matter. Let’s make Bitcoin functional for Africa.

How it started vs How it ended 🔥 | btrust.tech Developer Day 2025 – Mauritius 🇲🇺 | December 2nd, 2025

What an unforgettable day for Bitcoin builders across Africa and beyond! 🌍 The Btrust.tech Developer Day 2025 kicked off with energy, unity, and purpose as developers, educators, and innovators gathered in Mauritius to connect, learn, and shape the future of Bitcoin open-source development.

The day started with powerful keynotes , where African voices shared their experiences, challenges, and aspirations in building for Bitcoin. Workshops followed, diving deep into Lightning Network, Bitcoin Core, Fedi, design principles, and much more — all designed to empower African devs with the skills to contribute meaningfully to the Bitcoin ecosystem.

Panel discussions highlighted the importance of collaboration, open education, and community-driven development. One major theme throughout the day was sovereignty through code — building tools that give power back to individuals.

How did it end? With inspiration, hope, and commitment. New friendships were formed, ideas exchanged, and projects were sparked. Btrust.tech showed us what’s possible when African talent is given a platform and support.

Africa is not the future of Bitcoin — Africa is building Bitcoin now.

Let’s keep pushing. One line of code at a time. 💻⚡🇲🇺

🇺🇸 FYI: The Bitcoin White Paper was displayed in Los Angeles yesterday night 🙌

Yesterday’s Proof of Work – Chapter 8 Part II

Our Bitcoin Diploma Course continued yesterday with Chapter 8 Part II, led once again by the incredible educator Adam Simecka, founder of Manna Bitcoin Wallet. The session focused deeply on the Bitcoin Lightning Network, giving students hands-on experience with real-time Bitcoin transactions.

The class was not just theoretical — it was highly practical and interactive. Students had the opportunity to send and receive sats (Bitcoin via Lightning Network) using Manna Wallet, a powerful self-custody wallet that supports both on-chain and Lightning transactions. This live experience helped students understand how simple, fast, and low-cost Lightning transactions are, empowering them to use Bitcoin in everyday life.

Adam took time to respond to students’ questions, clarify wallet features, and emphasize the difference between custodial vs non-custodial Lightning wallets. The energy and participation from the class were outstanding, with students from Tanzania, Kenya, Burundi, and South Africa engaging actively throughout the session.

We deeply appreciate Adam Simecka for his time, expertise, and dedication in leading both Part I & Part II of Chapter 8. For those who missed it, please watch the recorded session here:

Yesterday Proof of Work – Chapter 8 (Part I)

Topic:Lightning Network: Using Bitcoin in Your Daily Life

Lecture by:Adam Simecka – Founder of Manna Bitcoin Wallet

Yesterday, we had an incredible and impactful session as we officially began Chapter 8 of our Bitcoin Diploma Course. The session was led by none other than Adam Simecka, a Bitcoin educator and the founder of Manna Wallet, a self-custody Bitcoin wallet that supports both on-chain and Lightning Network payments.

The class kicked off with a warm introduction from Adam, who shared his background and passion for Bitcoin. He then dived into the fundamentals of the Lightning Network, explaining how it works and its role in enabling fast, low-cost Bitcoin transactions for everyday use.

Students learned about the different types of Lightning wallets, the difference between self-custodial vs custodial wallets, and the importance of choosing open-source solutions. Adam provided a live demonstration on how to set up the Manna Bitcoin Wallet, where students actively followed along, downloaded the app, and configured their wallets with his guidance.

The session was highly interactive with active participation from students across Tanzania, Kenya, Burundi, and South Africa. To keep the energy high, we played fun Bitcoin trivia games where lucky winners were rewarded from 1,000sats to 5,000 sats each!

Adam wrapped up by teaching students how to send and receive Bitcoin via the Lightning Network, using Manna and other Lightning wallets. The hands-on learning and live examples made the session very practical and insightful.

For those who missed this engaging session, the recorded video is available here:

Friday Proof of Work Recap – Bitcoin Diploma Course (Cohort 3)

Chapter 6: Introduction to Bitcoin – Part I

Tutor: Jetty Nakamoto

Moderator: Graysatoshi

On Friday, our Cohort 3 students had an insightful and interactive session on Chapter 6 Part I of the Bitcoin Diploma Course. The topic was “Introduction to Bitcoin,” expertly delivered by our dedicated Bitcoin educator, Jetty Nakamoto.

Jetty guided students through the fascinating origins of Bitcoin, introducing them to Satoshi Nakamoto and the motivation behind the invention of the world's first decentralized digital currency. The session also covered in detail how Bitcoin works, the Nakamoto consensus mechanism, and the concept of achieving consensus through a peer-to-peer network without intermediaries.

The discussion sparked great interest, with students actively participating, asking questions, and exploring the foundational aspects of Bitcoin. Jetty wrapped up by briefly introducing Bitcoin as sound digital money, which will be explored further in Part II.

We thank Jetty for his energy and deep knowledge, and we applaud our students for their enthusiasm.

If you missed the session, you can catch the full recap here:
