If you dont know molly is a even more security focused signal client fork. Its on fdroid but you can also get it from github via obtainium.
My notifications are very often delayed or I'll miss calls even with the sandboxed Google Play services installed. I had to go back to Signal.

dunno if i'd call it more secure as it hasn't been audited afaik
imho if you want more secure but don't care about signal interoperability roll w/ Session or SimpleX
